I've been browsing through your blog since your recent visit to mine. Your photos remind me so much of all the wonder photos I received from my son when he studies in Italy a couple of years ago. What a dream.
A leaf described as a fan for birds is a lovely image - so effective.
I feel that Haiku can be one of the most inspirational and symbolic of poetic styles. It's brevity forces the poet to choose words carefully rather than ramble for 14 lines (cough::sonnet::cough). Excellent.
