Dear Nathalie-- I've had the privilege to be intimate with death many times during my life, and that evanescent booming is is the best description I've yet heard.
What a great way to describe the rattle at the end of life. I have never been with a person at that time but have seen several animals across the bridge-- it is a Holy thing.
Nathalie, I do hope you are not involved in those earthquakes and that you still have a home. I am also concerned for your friends and relatives (if any are living near). My e-mail address is jhovendic[at]yahoo.com I'd like you to e-mail me to say how you are doing. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying, Jim ..

I'm speechless. Beautifully done.
You always seem to perceive and express fresh facets of real life - thanks for this memorable piece.
I have the same word in mind as Kitehorse - memorable. Very beautifully done, and the music is the perfect pairing!

Hi Nathalie, this would be true. And stated in a poetic manner. I suppose I should be grateful that I have never experienced it.
I do say that I am sorry my Mom died while our plane was coming in for landing. My sister was there, she didn't say about the breathing.
..
how does one say "geez but you are cool" in French?

Silence can pack quite a punch. It's hard to listen sometimes.
Strong work. Listening. Hearing. Excellent description.
Oh my goodness, this touched my soul .. and reminded me the day my mother died. I was eleven, and she collapsed right in front of my eyes.
This is truly profound and the presentation awesome!
