The lion is a sculpture, but it has most likely been direclty carved into the rock it is shown reclining on. The silly animal picking on him is a sea gull. There are plenty of them on the island (that's Isola Bisentina, on the lake of Bolsena, North of Rome).
Really nice! And I loved the imp one earlier too! Thanks for the chocolate and chilly tip...it does sound weird and it would need some pushing and shoving for me to try it! :D

Is that a natural rock or was it curved that way? And what's that on top of that rock, a bird or a goat?
