Great turlte! Where did you take the photo. I use to see turtles all the time when I was working for the City of Alhambra. I use to spend my lunch hour walking along the wash and the golf course and see turtles walking along the wash. I use to bark at the crew guys to leave the turtles alone because some wanted to pick them up and take them home.
This stern creature was on a fountain of the Palazzo Zante, in Rome. It did not appreciate my interest in it (you can see this better if you click on the picture to see the full size).

It is probably fed up of tourists taking its photo and wishing for dark glasses to go incognito.
