What a spledid thought -- like chained butterflies

I shall never look at umbrellas in the same way...what a delightful read.

Strangely, this summery image and the language make me think of making snow angels!

Ah, this is such an intriguing take on the prompt.. Now, the umbrellas would seem to be some sort of dreaming, mythical creations! Along with the photo, your verse has a magical, wistful effect.. Loved it!

Now Nathalie, you know this is indeed a most interesting take on the prompt ... and I had to smile, because it's a wonderful metaphor to life. I am sometimes like these umbrellas, straining to take of, but grounded. Bravo!

Nathalie, I do like your 'dreaming parasols' poem!
Was the picture your inspiration or did you take the picture after you had the idea for the poem? I'm guessing the first.

Grounded but hopeful. Dreaming is the first step to migrating... Great post, Nathalie.

Excellent feeling of migration. The parasols remind me of Christo's yellow umbrellas of California. Nice post!

What a great image - the parasols look like flying formation-- but alas they are indeed grounded.
