I don't know about 'poker faced' but that's exactly the look Neri gives me when I don't want to 'share' my raw chicken with her. She doesn't comprehend the phrase - bad for you!
When I used to get in trouble as a child, my mother would demand I look her right in the eye, and of course I always cracked a big smile, no matter how earnest I really felt. It was positively awful.
I wish I could have made this sort of "poker face".
