What an amazing crystal blue! Lovely.

Lovely words, the waves really do mesmerize. And that's an interesting angle of view you got of the waves - where you on a boat or a dock? Very nice!

One of my favorite songs! I actually heard it live at a Righteous Brothers concert... longer ago than I'd care to admit! Tom Jone's version actually mimics the rhythm of the waves lapping. I really enjoyed this, thanks.

Lovely words and photo. You have made me homesick for the water and my childhood (and that last is not easy).

The idea of a lazy fragrance is beautiful. Thanks for this.

The words draw you in as the sea does.

Awesome!

I catch words haphazardly

No salt in there, Rachel, this is sweet water from the lake of Bolsena.
The waves are indeed created by a motor boat, Deborah.
Thank you all for your kind words.

_"The waves are indeed created by a motor boat"_"No salt in there"-sounded like an anti climax after reading the poem and the comments-the "amazing crystal blue!"
lingers nonetheless ..thanks for sharing the visuals of the lovely
lake of Bolsena..

This made me so homesick for my house by the sea. . . alas I am landlocked now!

The sway of the verse mirrors the sway of the swell. The colouring of the image and the font of the verse all combine to mesmerise the eye. Lovely combination ...

I do feel mesmerized...like I used to feel when I owned a sailboat and would go park it somewhere quiet and sleep.

Thank you for this beautiful piece and the lovely site, whatever its title!

Very pretty descriptive poem, Nathalie.
You almost spoiled it telling about the boat wakes, but then when you told its location things were ALL BETTER.
That is because we spent over a month in Italy in the Spring of 2006, about one month in Tuscony. We stayed at Betolle and saw most tourist and other sites in a 150 mile radius. We also spent one week in Provence (FR) that Spring.
Everything was just beautiful.

What a wonderfully relaxing haiku, both words and photo.
