These are both wonderful, but I especially like the second one and the idea of laughter in the sun and paint reinventing gardens... beautiful.

I especially love the 'ghost of laughters past'. I reminds me of the expressions often seen on the faces of older folks, seemingly recalling a precious moment of times past.

These are great Raven. I immediately thought of flowers when I think of laughter. The ghosts of laughter are so well represented in the garden art. I like both of these.

OOps. I am sorry Spacelaw, I didn't mean to give Raven credit for your beautiful work. I am just not awake yet this a.m.

Beautiful haiku and pics. I especially like the second one, that flower is just what i needed to see, cuz we still have so much snow left here and more predicted for today. Thanks for sharing.

I like the "ghost of laughters past". Many thanks for not playing the music automatically and giving readers the option to turn it ON.

The first makes me think of a wonderful uncle who lost years every time he smiled and the second makes me appreciate the joy of this wonderful time of year. God bless.

Those are both wonderful. The first one was haunting.

Laughter in the sun is my favorite. The ancient guy seems to be laughing AT others and kind of scares me. Is he a bacchanalian being?

Love them both in their own different way. Can't pick a favourite one here.

How great that these bring smiles and laughter to me. Impressive, Nathalie!

Both are beautifully said and so thought-provoking.

laughter freezing into stone without becoming a grimace is hard.

those two are so good... truly passing on the laughter through stone and flowers.. hey, joe cocker, absolutely... saw him in concert long, long time ago... those were the days my friend... oh, that's another song...

You always create such beautiful art with photos and poems. I enjoy the old Santa in stone. No ancient grimace there, just happiness. The flower is so gorgeous, yes, they make me so happy outside in the woods.

Thank you all for your kind comments and for the poems.

As a bit of info, the comedy mask on the first picture is to be found in Herculanum (near Naples) in this very room, which might have been - or not - a private theatre room if the other comedy masks are to be credited (but I don't really remember as the visit dates back from 10 years ago).

Great ku's in response to laughter. Loved 'em both. Nice work. The photos are also excellent, here and throughout your blog.
